What an exciting week! I wish to begin this week by thanking the lovely Rachael from Rach Writes for once again hosting the Write Campaign and to welcome members from the Write Campaign! It is a pleasure to meet you and feel free to make yourself at home!
For those of you who don’t know, the write campaign community is an excellent way to build friendships with fellow writers and bloggers. This is an awesome community that links together to build relationships while building author platforms.
If you are new and have not participated before, I would highly encourage you to do so! Some of the nicest people I have ever met in the writing community has come from the Write Campaign community.
Now, onto the awards!
Normally, I do a weekly roundup of my favorite links of the week. However, since I am giving out 2 awards this week, my weekly roundup will all win awards instead!
I have learned that my blog has won the Kreativ Blogger award! The award was given to me by Debbie Johannson, and I do thank you Debbie for the honor!
Let’s begin.
The rules for accepting the award are that we are to tell readers 10 facts about ourselves and then pass the award on to six fellow bloggers.Since this is a Kreativ award, I will create a music theme.
- My mom says that when I first began walking, my favorite thing to do was turn on the radio and listen to music as I drank a bottle.
- The first field trip I ever had was when my uncle took us to see Graceland right after Elvis died.
- I have been to two recording studios: Sun Studios in Memphis, TN and Motown Records in Detroit, Michigan.
- As a teenager and young adult, my friends often said that I acted like Riff Randall from the movie, Rock and Roll High School.
- I recently saw a picture on the internet of an Aleka’s Attic show I attended as a teenager and saw teenage me in the audience! *SQUEE!*
- Before the Internet became mainstream, I could be found at record stores camping out for concerts and would have pizza delivered while I waited.
- The longest I camped out for a show? 2 1/2 days.
- Yes, I was first in line and did get front row!
- I take my iPod everywhere I go.
- What is on playing on my iPod at this moment? Rave On by Buddy Holly.
In addition to the Kreativ Blogger award, I have learned from JMMcdowell that I have also received the Sunshine Award! Thank you so much, JM!

Ah, a fellow Music lover! Have you heard of Spotify? It’s my latest music obsession
Ahhh, a fellow music lover *claps hands with glee*
Hmmmm, not sold on Spotify J.A. . With all of the recent attention of SOPA and PIPA, I feel strongly that artists and writers should be paid for what they create.
Did you hear that favorite bands and songwriters? You’re so welcome!
I’ve never heard of a Write Campaign. I will check it out!
Well, hello Meghan!
Hope you consider joining it, it will be great fun! Thanks for the comment

Aww, thank you so very much, Christy! My reciprocal blog post is about to go live (as soon as I figure out who to give the award to, hehe).
LOL Rebekah! Congratulations and I loved your post. It will help so many others.
Congrats on your awards — loved reading the facts!
Thank you for wanting to give me the Kreativ Blogger award, that’s so sweet of you, but I’ve had an embarrassingly rich week of awards, and I think it would be best if you passed the Kreativ Blogger Award to someone else. Thanks again for thinking of me, though!
Will do! I loved your post!
I would like to thank the members of the Academy, my co-stars, the crew, my publicist, my agent, my kids…who should be in bed by now…go to sleep kids!…..my parents, my neighbors…(music starts playing ushering award recipient off stage)…. my idol Dave Barry, my stylist, my physical therapist, Christy Farmer, and uh….. uh…..uh….. I’m worried I’m forgetting somebody….
Oh yeah, my wife! What’s her name! Thank you so much!
Done!

See? That’s exactly what I mean! You are so funny! Honored to be your physical therapist! *Bows and Curtsies*. Off to read post now
Thank you Christy for the award. You made me smile today with your post and the answers. I saw the campaign notice, but don’t think I’ll officially participate again until the fall. I will do what I’ve done in the past and sneak over to find some cool blogs to follow. Have a great week.
I loved your post Stacy. I’m glad that I could offer ‘some’ insight. Glad to hear you will be on the campaign trail this fall. Have a great week!
Thanks for the shout out! So I have to provide 10 music facts about myself? Beyond the wholly embarrassing music posts I do every Friday? COOL!!!
So what was the concert for which you camped out for 2.5 days? I never made it that long – usually overnighters. Can remember Smithereens, Los Lobos, and Grateful Dead…
You’re so welcome! You had me at Carol Channing! LOL!
The 10 facts can be anything you want. I just decided to do use a music theme!
Thank you Christy for the Sunshine Award! Have a great week!
You’re so welcome, Jim! Hope you have a great week, too!
Congratulations on your awards. And thanks so much for choosing me for the Sunshine Award. Now I’m all warm and tingly-happy inside.
Feelings mutual, Angela! It’s always a joy to see you in the blogosphere!
First, a big congrats on your two awards! And secondly, thank you for thinking of me
I appreciate that. You always make me smile, too, and especially now that I will forever associate you with Rock & Roll High School.
You’re so welcome, Mike! Ahhh, Rock and Roll high school! There’s nothing like a little nostalgic humor to kick off a new week!
